Brian Hairston – Of Counsel

For twelve years, Brian Hairston has worked to establish and defend the intellectual property rights of organizations of all sizes and types, as well at those of independent inventors. Brian helps clients implement strategies, including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret protection, to affect long-term business goals. Brian also helps clients to avoid infringement risks, and manages their patent portfolios. His clients range from Fortune 100 companies to independent inventors. He has worked with clients in many industries such as packaging materials and processes, medical devices, firearms and weapons systems, measuring and sensing devices, textiles and consumer appliances.

Brian started his career at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where he gained an objective viewpoint and learned about the policies and operations of the USPTO. Brian went on to private practice and for over ten years worked with two very well-regarded intellectual property teams.
